Here I go again
While waiting for SILENCE SHATTERED edits to be returned, I wrote another story… I’m plagued with an imagination that won’t stop. Is that a good thing? I’m not sure, but it does keep me occupied. Anyway, I probably should give you a little background into my childhood study habits before I continue. Reading and studying weren’t things I enjoyed doing in my youth. As a student, I did as little as possible, and yes my grades reflected my laziness. It wasn’t until I began homeschooling my three younger children that all of that changed. I found myself more interested in reading and enjoyed studying history, science, math (of course), and English literature right along with my kids. But history, the colonial period especially, piqued my interest the most.
In the first series I wrote, the Riley Cooper Series of Hope, the protagonist was a homeschooling mom, who loved history š. She incorporated the Founding Father’s struggles into her own, sharing quotes in the hopes of inspiring others and reminding her family and friends of paths already traveled so as not to make the same mistakes our Founders did.
History is full of trials and errors, some were done at the great expense of others and ones none of us ever want to repeat. But with those mistakes came successes that held the balance. Many of those achievements helped to pave the way to correct those horrible choices made by our ancestors. However, we humans either have a short memory or don’t care and continue to repeat some of history’s worst mistakes, which brings me to the information I stumbled upon while researching a new idea for a story. It was something I wasn’t aware of, and yes of course, it’s biblical.
I thought it would be fun to write an archaeology story that centered around Jesus’ crucifixion artifacts: The Crown of Thorns, the Flagallum, the Nails, and Jesus’ Garments. While researching, I came across a History magazineāThe Dead Sea Scrolls: Ancient scriptures decoded, prophecies exposed, and mysteries revealed which changed the course of my story. On page 38, titled: THE THIRD TEMPLE, it states, “A Jewish sect in Israel is determined to fulfill the end of the world prophecy by building a third temple on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.” Why? Because “this is the only place where the Spirit of God dwells among us.”
Temple Mount, the central spiritual interest for Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike, was built on Mt. Mariah. It is the place where Abraham offered Isaac up to God; the spot where the Lord appeared to King David; the location where King Solomon built the first temple; and where King Herod erected the second temple. King David prayed there, Jesus drove out the merchants and money changers from there, and according to Muslim tradition, itās where the prophet Mohamad ascended to heaven. Itās the very site where the spirit of God rested and a place the Jewish people claimed to be theirs, but have been forbidden access for two thousand years. The problem is, that the holiest site on our planet, is the very place where Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock stand. Christian fundamentalists who want to hasten Jesus’ second coming will no doubt happily stand by their Jewish friends when the time comes to tear down the mosque and rebuild the temple.
We all know what will happen when that occursāWWIIIāa war of biblical proportions. Here’s my personal take or opinion on the matter (which in the grand scheme of things means absolutely nothing). No one, not even the world governments, will be able to stop these groups when the time comes. My hypothesis comes from realizing such a group or groups have likely been working in the shadows, manipulating world events for years, setting the stage for that perfect moment to release a fury like none other. And I am positive it will be at a time when none of us will be paying attention… Welcome to my imagination! š And to THE PIERCING which will be released in 2024.
I keep telling myself I need a break from writing, but those darn floaties keep clogging up my brain. Until next time.
